My practice is grounded in trauma-informed, person-centered care, and I integrate evidence-based approaches based on each client’s unique needs and goals. I commonly utilize CBT, Solution-Focused Brief Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, strengths-based and attachment-informed interventions, along with grounding, emotional regulation, and identity-focused work. I also take a holistic, culturally responsive approach, recognizing that healing is influenced by a client’s relationships, environment, lived experiences, and personal strengths.
In addition, I practice from a trauma-informed lens, meaning I prioritize safety, collaboration, choice, and pacing in all aspects of therapy. When appropriate, I may also draw from psychodynamic and attachment-based frameworks to explore how early relationships and life experiences shape current emotional responses, patterns in relationships, and core beliefs about self and others. Rather than relying on a single model, I integrate approaches in a way that best fits each client’s goals, preferences, and clinical presentation.
-
I believe every client is unique, so I don’t take a one-size-fits-all approach. I take time to understand each client’s experiences, strengths, cultural background, and goals while assessing where they are emotionally and developmentally. From there, I tailor interventions to meet their specific needs, remaining flexible as therapy progresses.
-
Clients can expect a warm, collaborative, and nonjudgmental environment where we move at a pace that honors their readiness while using evidence-based interventions to support their goals. One principle I share with every client is that therapy isn’t automatically a safe space. I describe it as a sacred space until it becomes a safe space. I don’t assume I know what safety looks like for them, so we work together to build trust and define what emotional safety means in their healing journey.Depending on the client’s needs, sessions may also include coping skills, grounding strategies, communication tools, or reflective exploration of past experiences and relationships. Some sessions may feel more structured and focused on specific goals, while others may be more open-ended and exploratory. My goal is to balance emotional processing with practical support so clients leave sessions with both increased insight and tools they can apply in daily life.
-
I build rapport by leading with authenticity, consistency, and genuine curiosity. I take time to understand each client’s story without judgment and create a space where they feel seen, heard, and respected. I believe trust is earned, so I prioritize collaboration, transparency, and emotional safety, allowing clients to define what feeling safe means for them as we build that foundation together.
-
I believe clients are the experts on their own lives, and my role is to help them recognize the strengths they already possess. I empower clients by walking alongside them, helping them build self-awareness, develop practical coping skills, and celebrate their progress. My goal is for clients to leave therapy feeling more confident, equipped, and hopeful about their ability to navigate life’s challenges and continue growing beyond each session.
-
I strive to create an inclusive environment by approaching every client with humility, curiosity, and respect for their unique identity, culture, and lived experiences. By recognizing that each person’s story shapes how they experience the world, so I remain open to learning from my clients while tailoring evidence-based care that honors their values, strengths, and individual needs.
-
While I don’t provide specific accommodations beyond my scope of practice, I strive to support each client’s unique needs by conducting ongoing assessments and tailoring treatment accordingly. I primarily utilize trauma-informed care and CBT, adapting my approach to align with each client’s developmental level, emotional readiness, and therapeutic goals to ensure they feel supported throughout the healing process.
-
My goal is to help clients experience healing that extends beyond symptom reduction and leads to meaningful, lasting transformation. I want clients to understand that trauma may have shaped their story, but it does not define who they are or determine who they can become. As they process their experiences, I encourage them to recognize the resilience, wisdom, and strength that have been cultivated through their journey and use those qualities to pursue a life of purpose. I also believe that healing is more than the absence of suffering. While reducing emotional pain is important, true healing involves cultivating peace, hope, and a renewed sense of identity. My hope is that clients leave therapy with the confidence to embrace their story, live with intention, and continue growing into the fullest version of themselves.
-
I want prospective clients to know that I view therapy as a partnership. My role is not to “fix” anyone but to walk alongside them as they navigate their healing journey. I believe every person has the capacity for growth, and I am committed to creating a space where clients feel respected, challenged, and supported. My hope is that through our work together, clients not only heal from what has happened to them but also discover who they are, embrace their purpose, and build a life that reflects hope, resilience, and wholeness.
