I am passionate about helping adolescents and adults improve their mental health by building self-awareness, resilience, and healthy coping skills. My clinical interests include anxiety, depression, trauma, ADHD, life transitions, and relationship challenges, with a strong emphasis on boundary setting and healthy communication.
-
I primarily integrate Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Motivational Interviewing (MI), and trauma-informed care into my practice. I also draw from Solution-Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT), Narrative Therapy, mindfulness-based interventions, and strengths-based approaches.
-
I begin by building a strong therapeutic relationship and collaborating with clients to identify meaningful goals. From there, I tailor interventions based on each individual's presenting concerns, learning style, stage of change, and personal preferences.
-
Clients can expect a warm, nonjudgmental, honest and collaborative environment where they feel heard and supported. A typical session includes checking in on current concerns, exploring thoughts, emotions, and behaviors, identifying patterns, reflecting on values, psychoeducation and working together to develop practical coping strategies and achievable goals.
-
I build rapport by creating a welcoming, nonjudgmental environment where clients feel respected, heard, and valued. I use active listening, empathy, cultural humility, and authenticity to foster trust.
-
I empower clients by helping them recognize their strengths, build confidence, and develop practical skills to navigate challenges. I use evidence-based approaches such as CBT, Motivational Interviewing, psychoeducation, and strengths-based interventions to promote self-awareness, healthy coping, and resilience.
-
I recognize that each person's identity, background, values, and lived experiences shape their mental health and treatment needs.
-
I tailor accommodations to meet each client's unique needs, preferences, and abilities. This may include adjusting communication styles and pacing sessions appropriately,
-
I aim to support clients in developing healthy coping strategies, increasing self-awareness, strengthening communication and boundaries, building resilience, and fostering confidence to navigate future challenges independently.
